BEE FORAGE TREE PLANTING AT CHEPTEBO

Bees4kenya joined other beekeepers in marking the World Bee Day celebrations. This year’s theme is “BEE ENGAGE WITH YOUTH”; it aims at creating awareness especially among the youth to take up bee keeping while engaging in environmentally friendly agricultural practices that do not harm the bee. The focus on youth is crucial as they are our future custodian and their engagement is crucial for a sustainable future.

This year’s celebration was held at various individual group apiaries.  From the hilly sides of Taita to the highlands of Kerio valley, our groups organized a variety of activities to mark this special day. These activities were to highlight the importance of beekeeping and showcase capacity building trainings the groups have so far undertaken.
